Company overview and sustainability requirements

Meta, formerly known as Facebook, is a global technology company known for its social media platforms and digital products, focusing on connecting people and building communities.

Sustainability requirements: Meta has committed to achieving net zero emissions across its value chain and becoming water positive by 2030. Through its Net Zero Supplier Engagement Program, Meta sets emissions reduction expectations for key suppliers, incorporating these standards into supplier proposals, contracts, and business reviews. The program targets emissions reduction in five areas: energy efficiency, renewable energy, circularity, transportation, and supplier engagement. Starting with a pilot in 2021, Meta aims to have two-thirds of suppliers setting science-based GHG reduction targets by 2026, with significant progress already made.
